Dorothy Jackson serves as the Program Director and Lead Instructor for the Nurse Aide Training Courses at Southern Indiana Medical Education Center. A native of Louisville, Kentucky, Ms. Jackson brings more than 20 years of comprehensive nursing experience spanning bedside clinical care, education and training, and healthcare leadership.

She earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Missouri–St. Louis and her Master’s degree from Duke University. Throughout her career, Ms. Jackson has worked across diverse healthcare settings, enabling her to develop a well-rounded, practical approach to nursing education.

Drawing on her extensive professional background, Ms. Jackson has designed and implemented a rigorous, student-centered curriculum that emphasizes clinical competence, professionalism, and workforce readiness. Her instruction is grounded in real-world experience and aligned with current healthcare standards, ensuring graduates are well prepared to enter the nursing field with confidence.
